About me
Hi, I'm Amanda.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Registered Social Service Worker with a background in counselling psychology, mental health, and addictions.
As an Indigenous clinician, I hold deep respect for the ways attachment, culture, relationships, and lived experiences shape who we are and how we move through the world.
My approach is relational, grounded, and warmly attuned, with an emphasis on creating a space where people don't feel the need to perform or carry everything alone.
Some clients come needing space to slow down and be heard without judgement, while others are seeking deeper insight, reflection, and support with patterns that feel hard to shift. I adapt my approach depending on what is most helpful in the moment, whether that's grounding support, reflection, or gentle challenge.
People are usually more layered than what shows on the surface. My role isn't to "fix" you, but to walk alongside you with curiosity and care as we make sense of your story and reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been overlooked or pushed aside.
I don't believe meaningful healing comes from quick fixes or forcing positivity over pain. Therapy, to me, is about creating space for honest reflection, emotional understanding, and lasting change that feels sustainable outside the therapy room.
I welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and identities, and strive to create a space grounded in respect, curiosity, and care.
My philosophy
Change rarely feels comfortable at first. Therapy creates space to move through that discomfort in a way that is safe, supported, and intentional.
